So in most boxes I put either frames with nothing or frames with starter strips of wax. In those boxes I always put one frame of drawn comb or a complete sheet of foundation wax so that they are reminded that they are supposed to go parallel with the comb building and not cross-wise! Wise beekeepers say that if they don't build the comb up and down, it's a sign of a bad queen. In the frame from Julia's hive they will fill that frame out. In the outer most frame in my hive, we lifted it out to find that it was fully filled with festooning bees making wax. Before we could click the camera the bees let go in groups and fell into the hive.Linda Thttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08089537760868691562noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27329001.post-24517767868501977652009-03-08T08:38:00.000-04:002009-03-08T08:38:00.000-04:00Great post - as usual. Do you always use starter strap rather then foundation?ChisBeeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07079211272288458417noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27329001.post-7456937805787955362009-03-08T01:36:00.000-05:002009-03-08T01:36:00.000-05:00Simply divine!Simply divine!dayvalleygardenshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10865026156254428765noreply@blogger.com
