The anise hyssop is blooming and the bees are going crazy. I see all kinds of bees on it. Huge bumble bees sway on the blossoms. My honeybees are everywhere and there are tiny sweat bees, and other bees I don't recognize. Obviously the bees of all kinds love this plant. I found out about it on the Beemaster Forum and have been thrilled to have it in my garden.
Dear Linda, I loved reading through your blog especially the bit about the lemons being pollinated with bees. I'm going to store your blog in my favourites.

Linda: my daughter is taking a horticulture class and has to make tea out of hyssop. Would it be possible to buy a stalk or two from you? I can't find it anywhere in ATL.

I can't keep the bees away from my horse's automatic waterer. Would it hurt the bees to put anise oil in water near the hives to draw them to that water and hopefully they will stay away from the horse's waterer? They don't sting the horses but the horses don't like them buzzing around their heads and won't drink.
